Real World

• The Getaway is released in North America for the PlayStation 2 only, on January 19th.
• The Getaway is released in Japan for the PlayStation 2 only, on November 20th.

Game World

• Ben Mitchell shoots and kills a teenager armed with a gun, who didn't pose as a threat in the eyes of some. As a result, he is suspended from duty pending further investigation into the shooting of the teenager.
• Ben Mitchell attends a court hearing in which journalist Jackie Philips was present. He is cleared of any wrong doing for shooting the teenager and allowed to return to work.
