Antagonists, or simply enemies, are the main villains and the opposite of the protagonist of The Getaway series. The antagonist of a 'The Getaway' game is usually a person that has betrayed or hurt the protagonist on a personal and social level, and spends the game moving against the protagonist in multiple ways. In this list the main antagonist is listed first for each game, followed by secondary antagonists and so on.

Description[]

The main character always hunts down and eliminates the main antagonist eventually, usually in a major battle at the end of the game.

There are both main and secondary antagonists of the game; the main antagonist is generally the one who causes the most drama to the game's story and ultimately commits the crimes that causes the most emotional anger in the protagonist. Secondary antagonists are characters who end up playing muchly the same role, but to a lesser degree. Often, the secondary and primary antagonists have some sort of affiliation with each other.

Antagonists usually have a gang behind them for protection. The protagonist will battle against the antagonist's gang in order to get to the main antagonist. In every The Getaway game, the main antagonist dies and is sometimes joined by the secondary antagonist at the end of the game in a final battle, which wraps up the main storyline.

Main Antagonists[]

In both The Getaway games, there is one main antagonist who is eliminated in the finale of the game, bringing an end to the storyline.

He has Mark attack each other gang in turn, in order to cause a gang war. When he pushes Mark to the limit, Mark tries to go against him and rescue his son. Charlie has Mark captured and arranges him to be handed over to the other gangs at an old boat called the Sol Vita. He intends to end them all with a powerful bomb that will kill everyone on board, including Mark. Charlie's plan ultimately fails thanks to Frank Carter, who rescues Mark from a locked cell at Charlie's warehouse. They then team up and take on Charlie's gang before confronting him with all the other gang leaders. Mark explains his story to the other gang leaders who agree to let Mark go and prepare to execute Charlie. Knowing the game is up, Charlie produces the detonator for the bomb and activates the timer.
