In The Getaway, the player is confronted with only a few choices related to the fate of certain characters. The choices however have no effect on the actual storyline.

- Kill or spare the Republic Bartender in: Burning Bridges.
- Kill or spare the Telephone Repairman in: Filthy Business.
- Kill or spare Smithers in: Filthy Business.

- Kill or arrest Big Walter in: Do the World a Favour.

In The Getaway: Black Monday, the player is confronted with multiple choices that will effect the storyline, ending and the fate of certain characters.

As Ben Mitchell:[]
- Kill or arrest Levi Stratov in: Finding Miss Philips.
As Eddie O'Connor:[]
- Drive Sam Thompson to the bank or leave her in the car in: Return to the Scene of the Crime. This choice effects the games' storyline. Driving her to the bank means she'll survive the finale of the game, leaving her means Viktor Skobel will kill her by throwing her off a railing in: The Fall of an Icon.
- Kill or spare Hector in: This Geezer, Hector.
- Kill or spare Leo in: This Geezer, Hector.
- Kill or spare Madame Celina in: This Geezer, Hector.
- Save or leave Jackie Philips in: Your Man with the Tattoo. The player must decide whether to save Jackie by running over to her and helping her up, or to leave her and let her fall to her death. This choice effects the games' storyline. Helping Jackie means she'll survive the game. It also means Mitch will survive the finale of the game and will help Eddie in: The Fall of an Icon. Letting Jackie die means she won't survive the game. It also means Mitch will attempt to kill Eddie in: The Fall of an Icon. Eddie will then have to kill Mitch in order to complete the mission, which means Mitch won't survive the finale of the game.
